Greetings from Germany! (1)

Hello!

Today, I am going to share the postcards I received from Germany!
Same as before, I will give a brief introduction of it before taking a look at the postcards!
Enjoy them :)

What comes to your mind when you hear the country Germany?
BMW? Benz? Audi? Beer? Sausages? Castles? Martin Luther?Albert Einstein?

[Germany]

Germany is a country in western Europe. It shares the borders with nine countries: Denmark in the north, Poland and Czech Republic(捷克) in the east, Switzerland(瑞士) and Austria(奧地利) in the south, France in the southwest, Belgium(比利時), Luxembourg(盧森堡), and the Netherlands(荷蘭) in the west.

Germany is the most populous country in the European Union. The capital of Germany is Berlin. One of the most well-known sites in Berlin is the Berlin Wall. In fact, after World War II, the city was once divided into East Berlin and West Berlin, separating by the Berlin Wall until 1990.
Some of the major cities such as Hamburg(漢堡), Munich(慕尼黑), Cologne(科隆) are also famous tourist attractions in Germany.

[Postcards from Germany]

The first one is sent from Paderborn, a city in eastern Germany. The postcard shows the cathedral of Paderborn and the royal palace from the Middle Ages.

The second one is from Hamburg. The postcard shows St. Michels Church, the oldest church in the town. The sender also mentioned that there are more than 2000 bridges in Hamburg!

The next one is sent from Niedernhall, which is a small town located in Baden-Württemberg, a state in the southwest of Germany whose capital is Stuttgart. The postcard shows one of the oldest houses in town.

The next postcard is from Weimar. Perhaps some of you had heard this city since it was once taught in history class during high school: The Weimar Republic (1919-1933)(威瑪共和)
The sender works as a tour guide in Weimar. The postcard shows the Weimar city palace, which is an UNESCO world heritage site.

Unfortunately, I have difficulties reading the main word written on this beautiful postcard, so I have no idea where this postcard is sent from. This postcard shows the old castles of the region where the sender from.

Last but not the least, these are the stamps from Germany!

The most common stamp from Germany looks like this↓

Thanks for spending your precious time reading my blog!
I hope you enjoy them!

  1. Wow it is amazing to see the postcard from Germany! My second language is German so I want to go to Germany someday. Germany seems to be the fantastic nation. But the German is hard for people to learn...... Hope to see another postcard from Germany, and I would also like to know more things about Germany from your sharing.

  2. Not until I became a junior did I am interested and history. Therefore, I didn’t spend many time on studying geography and history when I was in senior high. To be honest, I barely remember those I learn in senior high. Thanks for your blog; I always can review geography and history while reading your blog.

  3. There're lots of people who like Germany which makes me pretty confused at first. Maybe it's because of Hitler and all those stereotype which indicates Germans as boring and serious. When I was in high school, one of my classmates who have been to Germany introduces the beautiful side of Germany to me. It's the time did I realize this is a city which is definitely worthy of visiting. But speaking of their language... Well maybe I'll skip that and stick to my Spanish lol
